Jacksonville, FL, October—On October 10th, Kort McCumber’s Lickskillet Road Southeast Fall Tour arrives at The Jacksonville Landing. Kort’s live performance is an original Americana hootenanny not to be missed. A celebration of folk, country, blues and bluegrass, with a healthy dose of something fresh, Kort’s music is entertaining for both the young and young at heart.
A singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Kort plays guitar, bass, mandolin, bouzouki, dobro, harmonica, banjo and more. Lickskillet Road is his sixth CD and features appearances from Vince Gill, Sally Van Meter, and Don Conoscenti. He has received many accolades including his most recent accomplishment, winning the Flat Rock Music Festival Songwriting Competition last month for his song “I’m Sorryâ€Â from his …After the Rain CD.Â
Jacksonville is a homecoming for Kort who was born and raised in the rural Jacksonville area. If you come join the hootenanny on October 10th at The Landing you are sure to hear him sing, “I grew up in Clay County, middle child of a first born son,†the opening of his hit song “Middle Child†on the Lickskillet Road CD.
Performing live with Kort on October 10th are Ken Campbell on upright bass and Beth Wilberger on fiddle and harmony vocals.
